As per TMZ, legal records reveal that the individual has filed a lawsuit against West, asserting that the artist physically assaulted him in downtown Los Angeles around two years ago—a moment captured on video. The man alleges that during the altercation, West exclaimed, “I’m going to make a fucking example of you,” and made mention of Kim Kardashian months before their divorce was officially concluded.
In the 31-second video clip, the individual seeking an autograph is seen on the ground outside, while West engages in a heated exchange with a woman who claims, “I am your family.” West retorts, “You were supposed to talk to her!” The argument persists as both parties, along with a small group, move into an alley. TMZ sources indicated in 2022 that the woman involved was identified as West’s cousin.
The individual further mentioned that he requested an apology from West, but the recipient of 24 Grammy Awards responded with, “Apology for what?” He proceeded to strike the man repeatedly and “severely injuring him.”
A purported member of West’s entourage reportedly instructed him to cease the assault on the man. However, West responded by yelling at them to “go to the fucking house and get my fucking kids.” The individual seeking autographs is now pursuing legal action for damages, alleging assault and battery by West, which he asserts led to emotional distress. Although the alleged victim declined medical assistance initially, he sought care at an urgent care facility later, with the LAPD also conducting an investigation into the incident.
Furthermore, the man’s spouse is filing a lawsuit against West, citing a loss of consortium. She contends that the 2022 altercation resulted in her husband’s diminished companionship.
