The announcement comes a few days following Will Smith’s update on one of Michael B. Jordan’s upcoming roles. In this role, the 36-year-old actor is set to co-star with Smith in a sequel to the 2007 film “I Am Legend.”
In a discussion at the third Red Sea International Film Festival, Smith disclosed that the script for I Am Legend 2 has been finalized. While Smith’s character perished in the original film, an alternate ending on the DVD suggests his survival. The upcoming movie will follow the storyline presented in that alternate ending.
“So we are going with the mythology of the DVD version where my character lived,” Smith shared. “I can’t tell you any more.”
